Happy new week friends,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
I was discussing with a friend this week and I saw the great passion he has for his football club Chelsea FC though I am a fan of Barcelona FC. I got home and wondered how I became a fan of Barcelona FC and I discovered that I had a friend who influenced me unknowingly to both of us. I am sure if we conduct a survey today showing how people became a fan of their favorite clubs, we would have a large number of fans who were influenced by friends, neighbors, family, colleagues, mentors or certain key players and coaches of such clubs.
One of my best advice for you in 2019 is to ensure you surround yourself with the right people who can give you relevant information or influence you positively.
In a few hours across the globe, we would be in 2019. I am so excited and I guess you are. Because I have a good prediction for 2019
It will be an absolute year to multiply your income, rise in your organization and industry If you have been struggling with your health, 2019 will be the best year to reach your health and fitness goals. 2019 will be your best relationship year. You can quote me on this and go to the bank with it.
However, if you do not do something different, 2019 will be almost the same as 2019 and you would have the same result. You need to be aware that your achievements today is just a mere fraction of what you are capable of achieving. And the only constraint you have all these years is still YOU. In 2019, you must have a strong desire to for greatness and be ready to cause positive disruptions in your industry, community and wherever.
Hence, let’s go into 2019 with a strong desire for CHANGE and see if the change we have long desired won’t occur.
Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas!!!
Compliments of the season and Merry Christmas to you all.
A great man is the reason for this season. several years has come and gone and we still celebrate christmas because of one man who has really influenced our world. He is a man of influence and great worth. Irrespective of the number of years he lived, He was always, making the news and, making impact every day. He lived a life of Value and Purpose.
The term ‘’VALUE’’ is defined as the importance, worth or usefulness of a thing. Nearly everything in life revolves around creating and delivering VALUE. From the very day, we are born till the day we die, we learn to place value on different things around us in different ways, depending on how important or beneficial it is to us.
Most people in our society today are by far more valued than others; this value placed on us individually can be classified by our achievements, net worth, background and impact to the society. Most importantly, our assumptions, belief system, culture, or previous information on a particular individual also influence the values we place on people. Ever wondered why one can give away a higher sum of money to a loved one and feel uneasy to give the same value to another. Ever wondered why you always feel you can not give beggars beyond a particular amount even when you know they need it more? Ever wondered why you give your spiritual leaders respects and gifts even when you do not have much for yourself.
As the new year approaches, one of our priority is to evaluate our present status and decide to add value to our selves. It is a stepping stone to greatness. It is not also late to engage in several activities before 2019 is finally here.
You can engage the BPE team for more tips or book a session with any of our seasoned counselors to guide you.
Once again, Merry Christmas and Happy new year in advance

2019 is here...Stop and smell your roses
Happy new week friends,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
The expression "stop and smell the roses" is not simply about flowers, but rather about how to live your life with a deeper appreciation of the world around us. It reminds us to slow down and notice the little things that make life worthwhile. Despite a busy life, it is important to know how to be present at the moment; otherwise, those moments will pass you by.
This weekend, I gave my security guard an unexpected ride, He was glad and we engaged in a friendly conversation. Before he said one or few statements, he mentioned of a house he built in a remote part of the state where his family lives. I was impressed and had to give him the double amount of the tip I planned giving him.
Just like yesterday, we started the year 2018 and approaching 2019 in a couple of days. It is time to review our achievements and goals ahead of the coming year and the future. It is the nature of man to make a boast of his previous achievements to other men just like my guard Mohammed did. Some call it Pride but it is also a way of giving testimonies and marketing your accomplishments, this makes people believe in your capabilities and strength. This will earn you more recognition and businesses. It could also expand your network and position you for greater opportunities.
Yes, You always have big plans and big goals. And you're never satisfied because satisfaction breeds complacency. Unfortunately, most of the time that means you're unhappy because you think more about what you have not achieved, have not done, and do not have. (Of course, the key is to instead do things that make you happy more often.)
Take a moment and think about what you have achieved so far, both professionally and especially personally. We've all screwed up. We all have things we could have done better. Words. Actions. Omissions. Failing to step up, step in, or be supportive.
Successful people don't expect to be perfect, but they do think they can always be better. So think back on yesterday. Think about what went well. Then think about what didn't go as well as it could have and take ownership. Take responsibility.
Activities for you to end the year 2018:

Activities for you to end the year 2018:
- Take time out of your schedule be with your family.Quality time with your parents, children, relatives, and spouse can have a lasting impact on their overall physical and mental health
- Go on road trips, sightsee, or share new experiences together.
- Visit relatives that you don't see as often or make time to call or write them.
- Remember important dates and events, like birthdays and graduations.
- Connect more with your friends. While it's important to make time for your family, your friends are like your second family. Make sure that not all your time is consumed by one person or thing. Friends can help to keep things in perspective.
- Laugh and be playful together. Humor can make ordinary things seem fun. Make your partner, spouse, or boyfriend/girlfriend feel special. Make a special meal for your partner. Be creative. Putting in an effort that goes beyond the usual routine is often rewarding for both of you.
- Give a small gift to show your love. Whether it's a single rose, a handmade craft, or a card, it makes a world of difference to show you care. Small surprises can become lasting memories and help to build stronger relationships.
- Give back with a simple act of kindness.
- Be mindful about the world around you.
- Be positive and live happier.
- Use positive affirmations throughout the day.
- Get in touch with nature.
- Be thankful.

DO YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO SUCCEED?
Happy new week friends,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
We once had a guard who, from time to
time, helped the driver wash the cars in the compound. The guard knew nothing
about automobiles, so he relied on what he learnt from the driver. Every time
the driver start to wash the cars, the guard would stand by him and watch, then
he too would do the same. The only thing the guard was never able to do was to
drive the car and move it even though he often sat by the driver’s sit and
dramatize with the keys
A few weeks later, the guard’s cousin
came to visit, soon enough, he too joined in washing the cars in the compound
and like his other cousin, he watched the driver and soon began to do
everything the driver does. Within a few days of trying, the guard’s cousin not
only mastered the washing but was able to move the car entirely on his own.
Although this singular action cost us the fence and the front bumper, I was
forced to reckon that this cousin had something our guard didn’t have.
Some call it “courage”, “boldness”, “audacity”
or “fearlessness”. I call it “guts”. The experience of the guard and his cousin
reminds me that there are two kinds of people:
1. The first kind see
opportunities around them, but never ever stretch to utilize them or even take
advantage of it. They may have the skills, the resources, and the certificate
but somehow they lack guts.
2. The second kind may not
have the advantage of the first kind, but when an opportunity opens up around
them, they step to it and maximize it. Such people are not afraid to stand up
and do something different and unpopular.
Many people in life are crippled by
fear of failure that they never try at something that holds the promise of
great success for them. It takes guts (personal courage and determination) to
succeed at anything meaningful, beyond certificates, money or good looks, it
takes guts to follow your dreams and take hold of your life.
GUTS AND
DECISION MAKING: WHEN TO TRUST YOUR GUTS
Trusting your guts is often used to
mean trusting your intuition when you feel pressured to take a decision. In
life, it takes guts and insight to take a good decision. However, when your
guts seem to be leading in a direction that you consider risky, after
evaluating it and shows a promising path, then by all means, follow through.
Guts is about taking risk, taking chances and overcoming obstacles. Life itself
is a risk but it takes guts to dare to dream and take your life to greater
levels.
HOW TO BUILD
GUTS
Participate in challenging social
events, be it a conversation, a competition, a team, a committee or whatever it
is that makes you afraid.
When you feel wronged, walk up to the
person and gently state your claim. Never with insult or mockery but with
respect. By standing up for yourself when wronged, you build courage and
confidence.
Meet people from time to time and
introduce yourself. Always associate yourself with smart people and learn to
start a conversation with a complete stranger.
Read and learn. Reading opens your
mind to the wisdom of people who have gone ahead and are successful.

become fearless, life becomes limitless.

Happy new week friends,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
“Let us make man in our own image” You will admit with me that this is an expression of thought and imagination...
So much has been said about inventors from all part of the world. Legendary architect Renzo Piano -- the mind behind such indelible buildings as The Shard in London, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the new Whitney Museum of Art in New York City – talked about some of his life's work. He said with the aid of gorgeous imagery, he makes an eloquent case for architecture as the answer to our dreams, aspirations, and desire for beauty. "Universal beauty is one of the few things that can change the world," he says. "This beauty will save the world. One person at a time, but it will do it.
Scottish-born inventor Alexander Graham Bell got the first patent for an electric telephone in 1876 With special credit going to the German Karl Benz for creating what's considered the first practical motorcar in 1885.
But I am not an engineer! That is not an excuse. Several brands, buildings, businesses, products today are the expression of people’s idea, imagination and creation. Movies and several Art exhibition and paintings are people’s idea. It is not late to attach brand to your name.
We humans were born to create which is our prime purpose. When we fail to do this, we can not live a fulfilled life.
Human Imagination is unique to mankind alone - no other creature on Earth has this remarkable power. It is what makes us human! It is the ability to visualize ideas in our mind and then bring these ideas into existence, to be creative. It gave people the opportunity to began improving their lives. By developing this powerful imagination many people throughout the history of mankind have benefitted greatly by using their unique power to create every conceivable innovation that can be imagined. You too can benefit by developing a strong creative imagination.
For several years, my thoughts were blank and I didn’t create shit. I only consumed. From food to TV and every other mind raping activities. My brain was rotting, my belly was growing, and my spirits sank more and more each day. While growing up, I remembered beign a writer and playing musical instruments. So this told me creativity is within but as we engage ourselves with several junks and activities that do not aid creativity, this ability dies.
Starting this blog and my NGO was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Every day I am saddled with the responsibility of what to write and what to create. It has enabled my creative mind and spirit.

Seasoning the Seasons with Thyme on Time.
Happy new week friends,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
By now, you are wondering what we are about to cook today. Never mind, I was cooking this weekend when I realised the importance of thyme in seasoning our various meals so I decided to play with my rhymes.
Whatever the type, thyme is widely used in cooking to add flavour and complement to vegetables, meat, poultry and fish dishes, soups and cream sauces. It’s a basic herb of French cuisine and an integral herb to bouquet garni. It is a rich source of Vitamin A and calcium and a good source of magnesium but like most herbs, it isn’t eaten in large quantities, so it doesn’t make a significant contribution to nutrient intake. Thyme gives a subtle, pleasing flavour to almost any savoury dish.
http://www.bestinseason.ie/a-z/thyme/
According to Solomon, For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
Time, is a temporary interruption in eternity. It is a commodity that can neither be bought nor sold. The only thing you can do with time is to use it. If you don’t use it, you lose it. Time and seasons are instruments of measurement, assessment, planning and perfection.
The understanding of time and season will bring rest and destroy fear and anxiety about the problems of life. It will build patience in you because you will rest assured that everything that has a beginning must have an end.
The better understanding we have of time, the better our chances of measurement, assessment, planning and perfection of our goals. Since the Life of every man is in phases and seasons it is important to observe, Identify our seasons and maximize all opportunities that come along with each season.

This is your moment of Power
Happy new week friends,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
I came across this proverb some years ago and I decided to meditate on it. “One moment can change a day, one day can change a life, one life can change the world.”
I came to the conclusion that my existence in the world is not a fluke.
Whatever I do, say and every other action of mine are contributors to either, the happiness, downfall, peace, encouragement, of others. So I decided to make every one of my actions count. I decided to weigh all my options before taking decisions and knowing the effect on other people and the contribution to life as a whole.
These actions may seem minute but interestingly, they are key factors to other elements of life.
Emily Dickinson said “The entirety of our lives consists of a series of moments’’ Like I wrote last week, that the person who I am today is as a result of several minutes of the decision I have made. These actions and decisions do not cease, We take them every minute. Hence, we can decide who and where we want to be in the future by deciding to take the right decisions and act wisely from this minute.
I applied this mindset to my own life and began to ask myself: If time is precious, how am I bringing the most value to the present moment. Moment to moment counts and then we can connect the dots with several actions we have taken in the past.
We could have several thoughts, future plans, goals, dreams but all these things will be based on WHAT AM I GOING TO DO RIGHT NOW. Yes, I mean this particular minute.
This is your moment of power. Your decision overrides your emotions, your feelings , your cravings , your interest, the list goes on. Much of the time, we humans are bored with the present and then our restless minds skips about from past to future concentrating on regrets, planning, expecting, judging.
Decide today to make every moment count. This is your moment of power.

We are our own little decision- A product of it.
Happy new week friends,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
Looking at myself now, I can’t help but remember a time I used to be really fat. Call it chubby, overweight, rotund or flabby. Anything at all that makes a chair lose its rigidity whenever I am seated on it. I usually felt it when the chair quivered in fear of collapse but then again, what was the work of a chair?
Typical Africans would usually mistake such fat to mean that it was an evidence of good living. Though I refuse to accept that my fat was as a result of such, I recognise the fact that my fat was as a result of little decisions I had taken. The little decision to always eat whenever my mouth felt like it. Little decision to ignore whatever health magazines had to say about late night food.
Those little decisions of ignorance made me into the fat man who every chair was scared to carry. It wasn’t about the money I had to buy all that food. It was all about my little decision to eat this and that whenever. Later, having realised I didn’t want to be overweight anymore, I set up a health target and took little decisions to burn up fat. I took decisions to eat healthy, to do more body workouts, drink enough water etc. subsequently, those little decisions redefined my body, making me the well-built man I am today.
Whether you know it or not; you, me, every one of us is a product of little decisions we had taken earlier in life. We are at this stage in our lives because of the little decisions we took a day ago, a month ago & a year ago. We do these little things knowingly or unknowingly whereas they transform us.
Think about this; Would Dangote (Africa’s richest man) be Dangote of today if he didn’t take little decisions to invest his time into what we now call Dangote cement? What about Bill Gates? Would he be The World’s richest man today if he didn’t make little decisions to invest his time into what we now call Microsoft? And Mark Zuckerberg? Where would he be today if he didn’t make little decisions to practice coding, programming even though his peers partied all night? We are our own little decision- A product of it.
The simple decision to stay up two hours past bed time to study could do a lot of magic on your grade. The simple decision to start up that small business today could amount to it being the multinational company you had dreamed it to be. Life is about decisions. We all have the power to make us whatever we want and choose to be. We have the power to change or un-change anything in our lives. It only starts with one thing- A LITTLE DECISION!

The simple decision to start up that small business today could amount to it being the multinational company you had dreamed it to be. Life is about decisions. We all have the power to make us whatever we want and choose to be. We have the power to change or un-change anything in our lives. It only starts with one thing- A LITTLE DECISION!

Two heads are better than one
Happy new week friends,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
Some time ago, I was setting up a gym in my apartment. I was happy. You can call it a dream come through as I was proudly buying almost everything from the dumb bells to the Bar bells & fitting them into a particular room in my house. I was enthusiastic about the gym as I was excited of my work out every morning before my major activities without the stress of driving to the gym.
After the first few weeks of waking up with passion for my workout session, I began to develop some kind of apathy, lack of interest and zeal to work out. That fire that had burned within me was beginning to quench and working out in my house was becoming boring to me.
My interest deteriorated not because I was not disciplined enough. It wasn't because I was lazy or because a new study had shown that Nigerian women actually preferred pot bellied men, but my Interest was lost because I didn't get that 'push', a partner to encourage me.
There wasn't any partner to remind me of the goal, to keep me encouraged and share in the pain & laughter that came with each strained muscle I had from lifting those gym equipment. I was literally tired of being my own motivation!
I kept up with my workouts and games outside the house as I was getting that push from those other friends and workout partners even though I didn't know them personally, I knew I wasn't alone in it!
You must understand that life is much easier and goals are better achieved when there is that one person, that partner in success, who gives you that 'push' to do those things you want to do. No man is an island and for the most part, no one has ever actually done anything alone. People need people to push them off their even when it is obvious that their need for this 'push' must not be mistaken for a lack of discipline.
A lot of people may have the skill, discipline but they don't have the push. They don’t have that person pushing them to utilize that skill and birth their ideas. You must have been in that situation where you pursed on a particular dream, a goal or even cancelling a particular travel from your bucket list.
Sometimes, we don't even know our own potentials. We don't know how good we are at something or the length we can go for something. We think we can never do it or that we are too shy until we have someone who is there encouraging us, Conquering the obstacles with us and sharing every moment of it with us.
That partner serves as our hype man. A support system of some sort and we all need that partner. We all need that push. If you are still wondering on all the reasons you need such a partner, consider the one reason C.S Lewis said "two heads are better than one".

Develop a productive daily routine
Happy new week friends,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
What does your daily routine include?
It’s Time to Get Real With Yourself There is no doubt that Humans are wired differently and what works for others may not work for you. However , there are no arguments that we find ourselves repeating certain activities every day, either productive or not. These activities/actions done consciously or otherwise indirectly turns to habits and contribute to our future.
Aristotle once said “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
We all know that keeping a routine is hard work and entails discipline but having no routine as well is so much more draining than keeping to any routine.
Keeping to routine can help you eliminate procrastination, keep track on your set goals and establish priorities. Having a healthy daily routine enhances your productivity and makes you a better version of yourself functioning at the highest level possible on all three planes of existence – mind, body, and spirit.
Please contact the BPE team today to guide you in developing your own routine..

We are all Actors
Happy new week friends,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
Shakespeare said: “All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages,” – I guess he has a point. Humans are actors in the world that is a stage in the theatre of life.
I decided long ago to make impact and leave memorable moments where ever I show up. I always wanted to be referenced for positivism and impact. Even when I was growing and had nothing to offer, this was my motivation.
We are all equipped with talents and special abilities but we loose our real identity the more we grow and act up learning to do things that are pleasant to the people around us while loosing our own Identity.
What personal characteristics help make GREAT ACTORS?
To be a great actor and performer, you must possess the following attributes:
Intelligence: Actors need to be smart and intelligent which requires lot of reading and research. They should be conscious and aware of self with understanding and insight into human behavior.
Highly Imaginative: You need to dream and dream big and grow out of your imaginations.
Fitness and Energy: You need to keep fit and exceptional at dispensing and controlling your energy.
Constantly Learning: You need to keep acquiring knowledge. Also give time to meditation, mentors, relaxation and visualization.
Charisma: Obviously a performer is going to be charming, expressive, and charismatic. In summary, always be at your best. Show up and do not be intimidated to display acquired knowledge when required.
Hard Work & Commitment: Get committed to a course and work towards goals and dreams . Lazy people usually don’t make great actors
Develop interest in psychology and philosophy and always be eager to explore.
Actors are proactive and unique unlike everyone else in the cast.
“If you want to be an actor, better be the one whose character reflects your true style. Every one of us has a different story to live but many common roles to play; doesn’t matter who plays them well, what really matters is how well you stood on your expectations and how balanced were you on the grounds of self-satisfaction. ”Varun K. Identify your Purpose; Don't get Distracted
Happy New Week,
The moment you determine what your mission/purpose is, the earlier you got working to accomplish them with the required and appropriate resources. We live in a world with people on different mission and the ability to stay focused after identifying our purpose is what makes us outstanding and unique.
Your mission may change for several reasons in several seasons but you must be able to identify these changes to enable you strategize.
Our quest in life is to identify our purpose and live in alignment with it. It is important to know that we can only attain long term accomplishment and success when we identify our purpose. Several opportunities comes to us in life but we must be careful to only embrace those that seem like It’s taking in what may seem like random favourites and transforming them into something while achieving our purpose.
I didn’t have a semblance of a clue of my purpose till my late 20s despite several efforts in figuring it out and like many of us, we keep deceiving the world including ourselves acting like we have a clue. I kept maximizing opportunities that came around with no pointer to the particular one to invest my time and energy. Though I am glad I had all those adventures.
One of the ways to identify these opportunities is by creating a synergy between your passion and your actions. Reading, observing and meditating is also a pointer to identifying your purpose. This makes you seek deep answers to your thoughts and question your assumptions.

I have been on the football pitch as a referee and as a player and discovered that both individuals do run around for the same number of minutes covering different distances on different missions. As a player, the strength required to deliver on the pitch is quite different from that which is required of the referee.

What are your Interests?
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
How do you define interest? Tope Mandy writes .
Your interest is anything that concerns, involve, draws your attention, or arouses your curiosity. Interests are the bedrock of our passion, value systems, attitude and eventually decision making. For example, when I was growing up, I developed interest in studying the brain and all of its mechanism, I was fascinated by how the brain coordinates all of the bodily functions and processes. This singular interest formed the basis of some of my most important relationships at the time, even the things that I spent the most time doing. Eventually, as Jamb approached and I was asked to make a decision about what I wanted to study at the university, I chose psychology because I reasoned that it would help me further advance my interest in the study of the brain. Needless to say, it doesn’t happen like this for everybody. There are a thousand and one reason why many people eventually don’t pursue their interest or even forgo it for something that pays and fits societal norm. However, following one’s interest can be a pointer to one’s eventual happiness.
Interest and attitude
Most of the time, many people try to hide their subconscious desires, passion and or values. Even when it’s easy to hide your interest, we can see from your decisions and actions what your interests really are. The way to show integrity is to ask yourself, why are my here? Am I more interested in the wellbeing of what is going on here or am I here for selfish reasons? Attitude cannot be hidden, no matter the level of pretence, eventually, your attitude will push some things to light. The same with your decisions, if your interest is in Sales department and you are the MD, somehow, your decisions may be biased towards that department, enough to prove what really it is you are trying to hide. Is it a Job, a relationship, a career decision or you are about to take a simple step, ask yourself again, is this in line with my interest? Why is this important?
Why are Interests important?
In a society where there are many distractions, taking time to identifying your interest is important now more than ever.
Pursuing your interest gives a sense of meaning and authenticity in life. You never have to look to another for direction because you know where you are going and why. And you never have to be carried away by all the distractions around.
Interest form our unconscious value systems and decision making. Tim Lahaye tells us that we act the way we do because of our temperaments, temperaments influences our interest, interest sometimes influences our actions and actions are what people see and judge us based on.
Focusing on your interest opens the way for you to be in tune with yourself as well as helping you channel your energy on matters of priority rather than just going on with the norm or with what society says is important.

Be Inspired
Happy New Week,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
Do you know that inspiration is the source of every impactful act? Do you also know that whoever makes an impact through any means draws zeal from something; INSPIRATION. Femi Kuti mentioned in his Delta Afrik Show at the Famous Sheraton Hotel in Lagos this weekend on his source of inspiration. He mentioned that his children and environment at large inspires his music. Another example is the legendary artist Leonardo Da Vinci. His painting were a clear picture of his inspirations, ranging from landscape, to wildlife, portrait, still life, etc. Understand very clearly again that behind every action, good or bad, useful or destruction,' lies an inspiration.
Are you inspired? What inspires you?
There’s unarguably no doubt that it can be hard to stay inspired in our present economy and daily struggle for survival. One might think that nothing inspires him or her but on the contrary, but it is well a fact that you must be inspired by something. Either environment, music, books, people, situation, the list goes on. Guiding your sense organs could help you tame what inspires you. What you see, hear, read may be a major source of inspiration.
In a society obsessed with measuring talent and ability, we often overlook the important role of inspiration. Inspiration awakens us to new possibilities by allowing us to transcend our ordinary experiences and limitations. Inspiration propels a person from apathy to possibility, and transforms the way we perceive our own capabilities. Inspiration may sometimes be overlooked because of its elusive nature, but as recent research shows, inspiration can be activated, captured, and manipulated, and it has a major effect on important life outcomes. Inspiration brings motivation, and motivation creates solution.

IMPORTANCE OF INSPIRATION
- Goals accomplishments: People who were generally more inspired in their daily lives also tended to set inspired goals, which were then more likely to be successfully attained. Importantly, people who carefully choose a source of inspiration tend to produce positive outcomes in what they do.
- Increased well-being: Inspiration is completely outside your control. Most people even think inspiration is a myth but understand that inspiration is an interaction or balance between your current knowledge and the information you receive from the world. There are things you can do to increase the likelihood of inspiration occurring. Research shows quite clearly meditation is a key ingredient. While inspiration is not the same as effort, effort is an essential condition for inspiration, preparing the mind for an inspirational experience.
- Inspiration boosts creativity: Inspired people become creative and show actual increases in self-ratings of creativity over time. The link between inspiration and creativity is consistent and since inspiration involves observing and documenting, one’s mind is sharpened and creatively open to new ideas.

LEARN BEFORE YOU EARN.
Happy New Week,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
It’s been two years now. Michelle started the business quite right, stocked her shop with the latest and trendiest fabric in town, but she made huge losses and owed debts here and there, this went on for about 7 months until the business eventually collapsed.
There are principles, regulations and procedures that govern every business. Nothing comes without a price. There is no goal without a dribble, but often times people are more interested in the end products rather than the production process. We get carried away by the good results we see in others but we fail to concentrate more on how they achieved those results. There are more layers to business than just the top layer, i.e sales and profit that we see.
As an entrepreneur, I normally advice young adults to undergo an internship phase on the venture they like before investing capital. Now by the term internship I don’t only mean physically applying for an internship/apprenticeship in a firm or enterprise related to that venture. The internet has indeed made life easier as almost any information can be gotten from various search machines like google, bing, etc. Getting a mentor may also be a good idea. Emulating the right people doesn’t make you any less than yourself. It is a well-known fact that successful people have certain habits that positions them for greater success
Everyone wants to be their own boss, but you need to understand that the road to entrepreneurship is somewhat rocky, however it can be managed with these few tips:

Everyone wants to be their own boss, but you need to understand that the road to entrepreneurship is somewhat rocky, however it can be managed with these few tips:
- Do your research.
- Map your finances: Starting a business requires money that you likely won't have at that time, which is why it's encouraged to have an estimated budget and then capital. The first and most common place to seek capital is with friends and family. If that is not enough, expand the search to investors. Should these options not provide the amount needed, then apply for business loans through banks and small business empowerment packages.
- Branding: Ensure that the company name you choose has an available trademark and Internet domain name. Failure to properly obtain a fixed brand identity could put your fledgling business at risk, not to mention that the time and money you have invested in establishing your business name could go to waste if someone else owns the brand name could have used the name for a business that closed, or filed a trademark and never used it.
- Legal requirements: After doing some initial research on your own, consult with a lawyer and accountant to confirm your understanding to what regulations, licenses and taxes you will need to follow for your new business and to help structure your business to be in compliance with the law. This will secure your business from any future shenanigans with the government.
- Learn from the experts: It is time we stopped being a slave to history and start learning from the experts in successful ones in our fields. If time is our most appreciable assets, then we should not waste time on mistakes other people have already made but focus on lessons learnt available for us to make wiser choices. You will not save yourself time but you will potentially save hundreds and thousands of cash in errors or flawed thinking that you can overcome simply allowing yourself to be mentored.

- Determination: One of the major tips to success is determination. The ability to persevere and have a firm purpose against all odds. It is simply not giving up on your dreams no matter the obstacles that come your way.
- Be a good researcher: Before one ventures into any enterprise, one must be willing to make good research on that particular field. It is stupidity to just wake up and decide to start up something without carefully analyzing and making good research. Making researches makes you fully prepared and knowledgeable on what lies ahead of you.
- Follow your passion: Following your passion will give you a life time of happiness because even when obstacles come your way, you’ll always love your passion. To be successful it is ideal that one invests in what he loves.
- Make a positive Impact: In this circle of life, we all are connected. It is an endless chain of existence which would be useless if we do not affect the lives of others. Whatever you do, always ensure that it makes a positive impact on the life of another. Remember that what you sow is what you reap, therefore your endeavor must influence someone positively.
- Avoid procrastination: Procrastination is usually considered the habit of delaying or postponing something. However, procrastination is more than just postponing something, it’s actually better described as putting off something that needs to be done; which is a major killer of success.
- Have a good mentor: A mentor could be that individual you look up to for moral and inspirational support. Whether you're starting a business or overseeing a team within a company, having a mentor can prove useful in helping you reach the next level of success. Having a mentor keeps you in-check and on your toes thereby pushing you to success.

Why not make impact with your surpluses?
Happy New Week,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
As a child, my guardian would always scold me for wasting food or having leftovers after my meals. ‘’Stop wasting your food! Don’t you know there are many people out there who don’t have food to eat?” she will shriek. I lived with the mentality that having leftovers after my meal was unacceptable, or even a sin to waste food because many people didn’t have what to eat. This kept my eating habits in check; a child had to obey instructions right? But I never really understood this instruction I was forced to obey.
As I became older, I began to deliberate on this subject. I understood clearly that wasting food was a bad behavior and I also knew that millions of people out there barely had enough to feed on, but I had one question…Why didn’t grandma give out my leftovers to people who didn’t have enough to eat rather than indirectly scold me for their misfortune? She made it seem like finishing up my meal would put food in the stomach of the hungry. I also learnt in Sunday school that we shouldn’t worry about the food, water or clothes we need because God already knows and will provide them for us (Matt 6:31-32), then my little mind wondered why she didn’t just give out the excess to the poor. Perhaps, my dear, she needed some exposure and insightful information in order to do more acting than speaking!
Recently, I saw a documentary about children suffering from undernutrition. According to UNICEF as at October 2017, an estimate of 2.5million Nigerian children under the age of 10 suffer from Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) and 420,000 children die from food poisoning as a result of eating contaminated food, such as decomposed food from waste bins and unhealthy places, even most adults were found suffering the same fate. There is hardly a single day of our lives we do not come across starving and less privileged people.
People who have excess resources want to acquire even more when there is little or nothing for others to live on. I’ve met people who claim to be storing and acquiring more wealth, not just for their own consumption but so that their children and generation unborn can partake in their wealth (Little do they know that when a child is born and meets resources readily available and at his disposal, you make such child dull, shallow minded, lazy, and unable to utilize their God given gifts and potentials.
This clearly means generating and storing wealth for a generation unseen and even unsure of, whereas a seen and physically available multitude of adults and children suffer from hunger and lack of basic needs every day. Note that the basic needs of an average human being consist of food, shelter, clothing but some people still do not have access to these basic needs.
Why store up excess resources when you can channel them to make an impact in the lives of others?
Why store up excess wealth and assets that are not basic human needs for survival when we can channel them to those in need. Of course, this is life, and there is no doubt that one person would always be richer than the other. However, when it comes to the basic needs for survival, there should be enough to reach even the common man. In other words, It simply means that not every human being will be rich or wealthy, but everyone should have access to these basic needs.
I strongly advice that surplus resources be utilized appropriately and channeled to make an impact on others. Let us try to live by what my Sunday school teacher taught me in Matt 6:31-32. Whatever you have in excess should be given to those in most need of it. Be a devoted giver, give your old blessings so that new ones can come in.
Decongest your space for the benefit of others and enjoy wisdom to create more wealth and resources.

What are your Concerns?
Happy New Week,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
Recently, I came across Nigeria's search history on google and these were the top list of concerns: ‘Soco’, ‘who is the richest musician in Nigeria’ and ‘How to Dance Shaku Shaku’. Some of the other searches include ‘world cup
fixtures’, bbnaija, ‘how to tie gele’, ‘prepare banga soup’ and ‘black panther’. https://acceleratetv.com/nigerians-top-google-searches-for-2018-include-how-to-dance-shaku-shaku-and-wizkids-soco/
A concern is simply an area of marked interest or a matter for consideration. They are what we yearn and show interest in. Concerns cover a wide range of interests that we have such as thoughts, visions, goals, priorities, etc. It can also be downsized to necessities like our health, children, work, etc. When we devote our mind to a particular thing, it becomes a concern. Over the years systematic studies have been made on discovering the relationship between our concerns and actual life.
What do you spend time pondering about? What do you spend your day reminiscing about? What steals your attention? With time, your concerns become your actual life a man is what he thinks. Tell a wise man your concerns and he can tell your personality even your future.
We can also say that your concerns are soul food, what you feed your mind with. One can even measure his level of achievement with the concerns he/she has. Often times our concerns align with our field and position in life while many times it doesn’t.
It is unapologetically a human behavior to have concerns. These concerns determine our thoughts and actions and also contributes to our future. We can agree that the list of concerns of Nigeria as listed by google search is a mirror of where we are today.
We need to monitor what our concerns are and keep them as positive and productive as possible.

Hobbies and Interest
Good Morning Brilliant and
Excellent People,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips
for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a
better place.
Upon
graduating with a master’s degree in English during the recession, Mike was
offered a position at a venerable renewable-energy consulting firm, but whenever
he closed from work for the day, his body ached for creativity and for making a
difference in the world—both desires within him were critical for making him
feel complete and whole. It was only upon this discovery that he realized he
had to make significant time outside of his day job for channeling these
desires in a way that he hadn’t done before. After listening to a motivational
speaker talk on “Making time for your passion” he started doing a lot of
serious self-reflection and began pursuing his passions more seriously.
As
a result, he started writing more regularly, began volunteering at a youth writing group in
his city, and also started a coaching business to work with others struggling
with some of the challenges that he’s faced. He finally learnt to feed his
passion.
Working
a 9-5 can be the most exhausting and demanding task of a person’s life. Mike’s
story explains it all; Passion and Hobbies are what fuel your fire, what makes
your heart pound and flutter when you leave work for the day, what you look
forward to achieving wholeheartedly, and what gets you excited when you face a
Saturday with no agenda in hand.
Improving your week by spending some time with
your hobbies and passions can make a bad day turn good, and a good day even
better. Sometimes you need to stop and remember what makes you happy. Remind
yourself who you are and what you want to do outside of your 9-5: your hobbies
and passions. Quick question; which is easier? Trying to love what you do OR
doing what you love…
Think
about something you love and something you are totally passionate about. The
list is endless; Sports, music, painting, designing, acting, writing, etc. What
do you find yourself doing that you actually enjoy -- and may also productive?
Is there something that both your heart and ambition push you toward?
Having
hobbies outside of work is a key to professional success. Studies have shown
that the most successful individuals in the world create time outside work for
hobbies and interests.
IMPORTANCE OF HOBBIES
·
Develop New Skills:
A developed hobby transitions into a skill. Constantly making time for hobbies
and interests will eventually make you a master at it. When you devote time to
doing something you love, you perfect your skill and open doors of
opportunities. Practice they say, makes perfect. Eventually, you will become
more skilled in anything that you devote ample time to if you continuously
repeat an action and keep an open mind.
·
Boost your
confidence/self-esteem: The moment you become
good at a hobby, it boosts your self-esteem and confidence, everyone loves
appraisal and a little pat on the back; this might even lead one to fame, thus
giving one the confidence to try out other interests.
·
It is healthy:
Not only are hobbies fun, they can also relieve mental stress and exercise the
brain and body. A hobby that makes you physically active can improve your
body’s flexibility. Strategic hobbies like playing chess improves your mental
reasoning and can benefit your work performance on many levels and is also a
natural booster for brain function.
·
Source of income:
When you develop a hobby and become good enough at it, it can serve as a
platform for extra income. Who doesn’t like some extra cash? You may even decide
to turn your hobby into a full-time job! For instance, maybe you really like to
paint and you spend time painting all sorts of picture; landscape, still life,
portraits, etc- If you discover that you have become really good at it, you may
begin to sell your paintings and organize exhibitions, which could turn into a
full-time job! I’ve seen people earn abundantly from their hobbies; athletes,
musicians, actors, writers, etc. Develop a hobby and start earning!
·
Networking: Constant
participation in hobbies and interests, especially those that involve
communication with other individuals would increase your network. Physical
activities and games and a great way to meet new people and make new friends.
One might even organize friendly competitions with others. Your gym partner or
chess opponent might be your contact to a business contract or even career opportunities.
However,
I’ve heard people say they don’t have hobbies or haven’t discovered their
interests. This is not abnormal as people get so engrossed in work that they
barely notice “side attractions”. A lot of people spend a lifetime pursuing
career success without understanding that it doesn’t necessarily guarantee a
happy life, therefore Learning to balance work and passion/hobbies is very essential.
Let work be work and fun be fun, don’t make the “9-5” your priority. Always
remember that although your job is your source of income, it might not bring
you happiness- but your passion will give you a lifetime of happiness and can
also be a source of income.

Procastination
Good Morning Brilliant and Excellent People,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals and fulfilling your Purpose.
“I’ll do it later”…… “There’s still time”…… “I don’t have the vibes yet” …… “It’s not that urgent”….. “The boss is not around, I’ll eventually do it before he gets back”….. etc. These are the flimsy excuses of a procrastinator!
Procrastination (from Latin's "procrastinare", that translates as: the prefix pro-, 'forward', with -crastinus, 'till next day' from "cras", 'tomorrow') is the avoidance of doing a task that needs to be accomplished. Sometimes, procrastination takes place until the "last minute" before a deadline. – (Wikipedia).
Procrastination is a trap that many individuals, especially young adults fall into, for as long as humans have been around, we have
been struggling with delaying, avoiding, and procrastinating on issues that matter to us because they are less enjoyable. Procrastination usually involves ignoring an unpleasant, but likely more important task, in favor of one that is more enjoyable or easier. In actual sense, many people are procrastinators
without even realizing it. Having this habit for a long period of time can cause demotivation which can lead to depression and lack of focus. It is the clear opposite of productivity; during our more productive moments, we temporarily learn how to stop procrastinating, thereby making us feel fulfilled and accomplished.
Some procrastinators give the general excuse that they perform better under pressure, but that's literally their way of getting away with putting things off or waiting till deadlines. Philosopher William James clearly stated the impact of procrastination when he said, “Nothing is as fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an unfulfilled goal.” Procrastination comes with anxiety, tension and mental stress.
The knowledge of having a task unaccomplished constantly haunts you and keeps you uneasy. Why not choose freedom………….. Nothing comes without a price to pay, let’s now look at some dangers of procrastination
DANGERS OF PROCRASTINATION
· Career set-backs: Since frequent procrastination prevents one from achieving goals, individuals are unable to realize their full professional potential thereby delaying career progress. One might miss out on promotions or worse; one might even be at risk of losing one’s job. You may try to hide it for a while, but don’t doubt that long-term procrastination at work will almost certainly ruin your career.
·
Lowered Self-Esteem: Procrastination eats away confidence. When you have tasks pending and undone, your self-esteem is lowered. There is pride in productivity! A lowered self-esteem is draining and can hold us back, making us feel less than we should.
·
Poor Decision Making: Procrastination does not go well with decision making. Why? Because making decisions from this standpoint will always be ineffective as they will most likely be poor decisions. When you procrastinate, you make decisions based on your comfort zone. Nothing great ever came from a comfort zone.
·
Health Risk: Anxiety and stress are factors or procrastination. If you procrastinate too much, it will most likely begin to stress you physically and mentally and cause anxiety, especially when other people or things are involved or at risk. Stress as we all know is a silent killer and leaves one at a great health risk.
Good News? How to Overcome Procrastination
· Make plans: Making plans is a great way to focus on the task at hand and find ways to achieve them.
·
Set priorities: Priorities are both urgent and important task that must not be left undone. Setting priorities ensures that you don’t forget or rush over the important things that needs to be done.
·
Avoid delays: Get to work as soon as possible and avoid distractions.
·
Make deadlines: Your deadlines should be a week or few days to the original deadline you have been given. This gives you extra days to go over your finished work and perfect little errors.
·
Commit to the task: Commitment to the task at hand means that no matter what happens, you finish what you have started.
·
Keep someone in check of you: Authorities are another great way to intentionally set yourself on track every time you find yourself erring. Your authority must be someone who can look you in the eye and get your heart racing to finish your projects.
·
Reward yourself: Upon successful completing of an assignment within the speculated time, reward yourself and celebrate!
