Happy new week friends,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
This is 2019!!! Are you still carrying around nagging broken agreements,
dysfunctional relationships, grudges, or limiting stories? It can be an
uncomfortable process to clean this clutter up by letting go of the
past, but chances are, you’re already living with a certain burden of
more discomfort because of not having dealt with or released these issues.
Our shortcomings as human beings are mostly the unfinished business
within ourselves, such as the work of healing our old wounds, gaining
the confidence to put love over ego, or bringing forth our authentic
selves. These are messy, hard and weighty endeavors, and for most of us,
they are a work in progress.
Many of us have challenges in our relationships and dealings with people
that trace back to our early childhoods. If we lacked affection when we
were young, we might now be someone who craves adoration and recognition
or on the other hand someone who is unable to express affection. If we
were constantly criticized, we might now be overly sensitive and hear
any feedback as an attack.
If we have not done the work of healing, I think we have a tendency to
bring our shortcomings with us wherever we go. You need to know that
your wound is probably not your fault, but your healing is your
responsibility!
We sometimes try to bury our hurt with food. We drown it with drink. We numb it with pills. We push it down deep within ourselves, stifling it with every excess, and every vice, everything we can think of. And sometimes it works, if only for a little while.
These are the moments we are oblivious to our pain for new distractions competing for our attention. But this pleasure is short-lived. As soon as the high wears off, we come crashing down, back to the hurting, back to the suffering, back to the pain. It throbs, it aches, and it tears us apart. Much of what we suffer is due to the layers and layers of pain we’ve built inside.
A hurting heart takes time to heal.
It requires patience, gentleness and care. This healing continues until our heart is restored to how it once was when we were born. It takes us full circle back to that moment when we first came into this world, knowing that we are complete, perfect, sacred and divine.
In essence, instead of carry about hurts and baggage that keeps weighing us down.
Let’s learn to heal and let go of the past.
You need to know that your wound is probably not your fault, but your healing is your
responsibility!
