Your Network Determines your Net-worth

Good Morning Brilliant and Excellent People,

I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals and fulfilling your Purpose.

“People are like dirt. They can either nourish you and help you grow as a person, or they can stunt your growth and make you wilt and die.” Plato

People have an incredible impact on your life and how far you will go in life. Some people are like parasites, they suck you of all potentials and growth there may ever be. And some people push you forward and encourage you to reach your full potential.

Who you surround yourself with is very crucial to your growth and development.

According to Jim Rohn, you are the average of the five people you spend your time with. This means that, the people you spend most of your time with are a reflection of you, your values, and your vision.
Once you understand the importance of this, it is easier to consciously cultivate healthy and positive relationships.

So, what kinds of people should you surround yourself with?

Coaches and Mentors are there to give you professional advice on the situations that you encounter, they give you the tools you need to achieve something monumental with your life. Surrounding yourself with mentor(s) can guarantee a measure of success that you otherwise may not have attained without one. Your coaches or mentors do not have to be people who are out of reach, there are tons of people around you who can guide you against the hurdles of youth, business, career or whatever the need be. Of course, you should chose people who are highly experienced and are willing to share their ideas, people who have a sustained income, who have attained a measure of success that you haven’t and who most of all can inspire you to greater accomplishments.

Decision making is a lot easier when someone who has one through the same thing is able to guide you through yours. Counselors and or Elders are somewhat different from the first point I mentioned above in terms of experience. You should have people like this around you, who from time to time you can simply listen to their story or experience and learn a great deal of wisdom, far more beneficial to you than what you may sometimes learn from professional coaches and mentors.

·        People of like minds: Like-minded people are the push you need to do some if the things that you need to get done sometimes. Surrounding yourself with mediocre people gives you a reason to relax, be calm and be lazy. You hear statement like, “I can’t kill myself”. People who are high achievers, who wants to impact their community, move together. Surrounding yourself with such people puts the spot on you too, in time, you actually begin to make a difference.

·        Influencers: Influences are people who may not have spoken to you at all, you may not even have met them personally, but you have been greatly impacted by their life, their work, their speech or their patriotism. Whatever it is, you need people like this in your space. Great people rub off on you if you have an open heart to learn. Could be the way they walk, the way they talk or even the way they introduce themselves in an event that sets them apart, there will be something you can learn and more that could be the difference in your life as well.

Greatness is a potential in every man, but if you don’t get conscious of your close associations, the ones you spend the most time with, greatness can be history.
