Be Inspired

 Happy New Week,

I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.

Do you know that inspiration is the source of every impactful act? Do you also know that whoever makes an impact through any means draws zeal from something; INSPIRATION. Femi Kuti mentioned in his Delta Afrik Show at the Famous Sheraton Hotel in Lagos this weekend on his source of inspiration. He mentioned that his children and environment at large inspires his music. Another example is the legendary artist Leonardo Da Vinci. His painting were a clear picture of his inspirations, ranging from landscape, to wildlife, portrait, still life, etc. Understand very clearly again that behind every action, good or bad, useful or destruction, lies an inspiration.

Are you inspired? What inspires you?
There’s unarguably no doubt that it can be hard to stay inspired in our present economy and daily struggle for survival. One might think that nothing inspires him or her but on the contrary, but it is well a fact that you must be inspired by something. Either environment, music, books, people, situation, the list goes on. Guiding your sense organs could help you tame what inspires you. What you see, hear, read may be a major source of inspiration.

In a society obsessed with measuring talent and ability, we often overlook the important role of inspiration. Inspiration awakens us to new possibilities by allowing us to transcend our ordinary experiences and limitations. Inspiration propels a person from apathy to possibility, and transforms the way we perceive our own capabilities. Inspiration may sometimes be overlooked because of its elusive nature, but as recent research shows, inspiration can be activated, captured, and manipulated, and it has a major effect on important life outcomes. Inspiration brings motivation, and motivation creates solution.
IMPORTANCE OF INSPIRATION
  1. Goals accomplishments: People who were generally more inspired in their daily lives also tended to set inspired goals, which were then more likely to be successfully attained. Importantly, people who carefully choose a source of inspiration tend to produce positive outcomes in what they do.
  2. Increased well-being: Inspiration is completely outside your control. Most people even think inspiration is a myth but understand that inspiration is an interaction or balance between your current knowledge and the information you receive from the world. There are things you can do to increase the likelihood of inspiration occurring. Research shows quite clearly meditation is a key ingredient. While inspiration is not the same as effort, effort is an essential condition for inspiration, preparing the mind for an inspirational experience.
  3. Inspiration boosts creativity: Inspired people become creative and show actual increases in self-ratings of creativity over time. The link between inspiration and creativity is consistent and since inspiration involves observing and documenting, one’s mind is sharpened and creatively open to new ideas.

LEARN BEFORE YOU EARN.

Happy New Week,

I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.

It’s been two years now. Michelle started the business quite right, stocked her shop with the latest and trendiest fabric in town, but she made huge losses and owed debts here and there, this went on for about 7 months until the business eventually collapsed.
Image result for learn before you earnThere are principles, regulations and procedures that govern every business. Nothing comes without a price. There is no goal without a dribble, but often times people are more interested in the end products rather than the production process. We get carried away by the good results we see in others but we fail to concentrate more on how they achieved those results. There are more layers to business than just the top layer, i.e sales and profit that we see.

As an entrepreneur, I normally advice young adults to undergo an internship phase on the venture they like before investing capital. Now by the term internship I don’t only mean physically applying for an internship/apprenticeship in a firm or enterprise related to that venture. The internet has indeed made life easier as almost any information can be gotten from various search machines like google, bing, etc. Getting a mentor may also be a good idea. Emulating the right people doesn’t make you any less than yourself. It is a well-known fact that successful people have certain habits that positions them for greater success
Everyone wants to be their own boss, but you need to understand that the road to entrepreneurship is somewhat rocky, however it can be managed with these few tips:
  1. Do your research.
Research is the most vital factor to consider when starting your business as it serves as a guide to accomplishing the necessary. Make sure you understand the industry you'll be involved in so you can dominate. No matter how unique you might think your business idea is, you should be aware of competitors, pathways and loop holes. You should also consider your target demographic, which will be the driving force in each decision you make. You can't earn a profit without your consumers, so make them your priority.
  1. Map your finances: Starting a business requires money that you likely won't have at that time, which is why it's encouraged to have an estimated budget and then capital. The first and most common place to seek capital is with friends and family. If that is not enough, expand the search to investors. Should these options not provide the amount needed, then apply for business loans through banks and small business empowerment packages.
  2. Branding: Ensure that the company name you choose has an available trademark and Internet domain name. Failure to properly obtain a fixed brand identity could put your fledgling business at risk, not to mention that the time and money you have invested in establishing your business name could go to waste if someone else owns the brand name could have used the name for a business that closed, or filed a trademark and never used it.
  3. Legal requirements: After doing some initial research on your own, consult with a lawyer and accountant to confirm your understanding to what regulations, licenses and taxes you will need to follow for your new business and to help structure your business to be in compliance with the law. This will secure your business from any future shenanigans with the government.
  4. Learn from the experts: It is time we stopped being a slave to history and start learning from the experts in successful ones in our fields. If time is our most appreciable assets, then we should not  waste time on mistakes other people have already made but focus on lessons learnt available for us to make wiser choices. You will not save yourself time but you will potentially save hundreds and thousands of cash in errors or flawed thinking that you can overcome simply allowing yourself to be mentored.

Road-map to Success

Happy New Week,
I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
Most people claim there are so much hindrances and roadblocks to the world of Success. Have you ever thought about what is hindering you as an individual and not what everyone is saying. We have different backgrounds, ideas, constraints, addiction, the list goes on …  What exactly is preventing you? Is it lack of a brilliant business ideas, a solid business plan? Or is it lack of finance and motivation?
You have the power to define your own success. If you are positive and believe in your leadership and visionary abilities, you will inevitably be able achieve your dreams.  However, if you remain doubtful of yourself for too long or consistently approach your work with a negative attitude, your pessimism will only beget failure. Remember that you have the power to define yourself. You and only you have the ability to determine your own success, so start acting like one!
Nothing can grind you to a halt if you want success bad enough. It only requires determination.  If you don’t let failure be a thought or an option, then it won’t be a result.
Here are some guide to keep you on track:
: “Your positive action combined with positive thinking results in success”-Shiv Kera. Positivity is a major fuel for success in life. You do not expect to yield good results if you are do not have a positive mindset towards it. It is therefore ideal to replace negative thoughts with positive ones in order to be successful.Stay Positive
  • Determination: One of the major tips to success is determination. The ability to persevere and have a firm purpose against all odds. It is simply not giving up on your dreams no matter the obstacles that come your way.
  • Be a good researcher: Before one ventures into any enterprise, one must be willing to make good research on that particular field. It is stupidity to just wake up and decide to start up something without carefully analyzing and making good research. Making researches makes you fully prepared and knowledgeable on what lies ahead of you.
  • Follow your passion: Following your passion will give you a life time of happiness because even when obstacles come your way, you’ll always love your passion. To be successful it is ideal that one invests in what he loves.
  • Make a positive Impact: In this circle of life, we all are connected. It is an endless chain of existence which would be useless if we do not affect the lives of others. Whatever you do, always ensure that it makes a positive impact on the life of another. Remember that what you sow is what you reap, therefore your endeavor must influence someone positively.
  • Avoid procrastination: Procrastination is usually considered the habit of delaying or postponing something. However, procrastination is more than just postponing something, it’s actually better described as putting off something that needs to be done; which is a major killer of success.
  • Have a good mentor: A mentor could be that individual you look up to for moral and inspirational support. Whether you're starting a business or overseeing a team within a company, having a mentor can prove useful in helping you reach the next level of success. Having a mentor keeps you in-check and on your toes thereby pushing you to success.

Why not make impact with your surpluses?

 Happy New Week,

I look forward to sharing with you Brilliant and Excellent tips for attaining your goals, fulfilling your Purpose and making the world a better place.
As a child, my guardian would always scold me for wasting food or having leftovers after my meals. ‘’Stop wasting your food! Don’t you know there are many people out there who don’t have food to eat?” she will shriek. I lived with the mentality that having leftovers after my meal was unacceptable, or even a sin to waste food because many people didn’t have what to eat. This kept my eating habits in check; a child had to obey instructions right? But I never really understood this instruction I was forced to obey.

As I became older, I began to deliberate on this subject. I understood clearly that wasting food was a bad behavior and I also knew that millions of people out there barely had enough to feed on, but I had one question…Why didn’t grandma give out my leftovers to people who didn’t have enough to eat rather than indirectly scold me for their misfortune? She made it seem like finishing up my meal would put food in the stomach of the hungry. I also learnt in Sunday school that we shouldn’t worry about the food, water or clothes we need because God already knows and will provide them for us (Matt 6:31-32), then my little mind wondered why she didn’t just give out the excess to the poor. Perhaps, my dear, she needed some exposure and insightful information in order to do more acting than speaking!

Recently, I saw a documentary about children suffering from undernutrition. According to UNICEF as at October 2017, an estimate of 2.5million Nigerian children under the age of 10 suffer from Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) and 420,000 children die from food poisoning as a result of eating contaminated food, such as decomposed food from waste bins and unhealthy places, even most adults were found suffering the same fate. There is hardly a single day of our lives we do not come across starving and less privileged people.

People who have excess resources want to acquire even more when there is little or nothing for others to live on. I’ve met people who claim to be storing and acquiring more wealth, not just for their own consumption but so that their children and generation unborn can partake in their wealth (Little do they know that when a child is born and meets resources readily available and at his disposal, you make such child dull, shallow minded, lazy, and unable to utilize their God given gifts and potentials.

This clearly means generating and storing wealth for a generation unseen and even unsure of, whereas a seen and physically available multitude of adults and children suffer from hunger and lack of basic needs every day. Note that the basic needs of an average human being consist of food, shelter, clothing but some people still do not have access to these basic needs.

Why store up excess resources when you can channel them to make an impact in the lives of others?
Why store up excess wealth and assets that are not basic human needs for survival when we can channel them to those in need.  Of course, this is life, and there is no doubt that one person would always be richer than the other. However, when it comes to the basic needs for survival, there should be enough to reach even the common man. In other words, It simply means that not every human being will be rich or wealthy, but everyone should have access to these basic needs.

I strongly advice that surplus resources be utilized appropriately and channeled to make an impact on others.   Let us try to live by what my Sunday school teacher taught me in Matt 6:31-32. Whatever you have in excess should be given to those in most need of it. Be a devoted giver, give your old blessings so that new ones can come in.
Decongest your space for the benefit of others and enjoy wisdom to create more wealth and resources.
